Jermuk
The pearl of medical tourism in Armenia
Jermuk is one of the most prominent tourist and therapeutic attractions in Armenia. This city is located in southeastern Armenia, 180 km from the capital, Yerevan, surrounded by mountains covered with forests and snow, which made it an important tourist attraction, as it is famous for its wonderful waterfalls that attract every visitor to it.
The city is a spa with hot water healing and physiotherapy with its right atmosphere and fresh air. The road to the place is surrounded by mountains and rock formations, which represent a wonderful painting of nature, as the salts of different colors that formed on them seemed to be a painting of bright colors combined with water drops flowing on the rocks.
Jermuk is not only famous for its waterfalls, but also enjoys mineral water that has many therapeutic properties, which was the reason for the establishment of a tourist and health resort in which there are a number of water taps of different temperatures from which visitors and residents of the resort drink, as these waters have therapeutic properties. Especially for stomach diseases and fat dissolving.
The strange thing is that there are several springs of water from which water comes out at a constant temperature throughout the year, even though in winter times the temperature reaches below zero. Where the temperature of the water ranges between 35 and 55 degrees, and anyone can drink from this water and not feel noticeably hot, it is said that it is a specific treatment
